You can grow as many plants as you would like, up to the max listed below. You can determine if you will use every net cup in the supersonics system based on your grow needs. To get the maximum plant yield we recommend using every net cup. Three different size Cabinet Gardens™ to suit everyone’s growing needs.
  • Small 30”(H) x 20”(W) x 25”(D) - 2-8 plants (recommended for shorter and smaller height plants only)
  • Medium 71”(H) x 20”(W) x 25”(D) - 4-6 plants (great for taller plants)
  • Large 71”(H) x 36”(W) x 25”(D) - 6-12 plants (recommended for taller / larger plants and for maximum yield)
Lighting and cooling have traditionally been the most expensive part of hydroponic growing. Cabinet Garden™ hydroponic systems use only sell full spectrum LED lights which are extremely efficient and result in a very minimal increase in your utility bill.
We recommend changing out the water and nutrients every 7 to 14 days, depending on the system and what stage of growth the plants are in. The larger the plants, the more water they absorb so generally the reservoir can be filled with unfiltered tap water, but be sure to monitor the pH and TDS prior to adding more nutrients to the reservoir. One of the benefits of hydroponic growing over dirt growing is that you can go on vacation and leave your Cabinet Garden™ for up to 7-14 days without worry, whereas dirt growing requires plants to be watered much more frequently requiring either an automated watering system that can be costly or someone housesitting your plants.
This will depend on what you decide to grow in your Cabinet Garden™. Every plant and strain of plants yield various quantities. Many factors can influence your yield, from type of lighting, amount of water, nutrient useage, PH levels, and the quality of water or dirt used.
Cabinet Garden™ cabinets run very cool due to the expertly designed fan-vents, LED lighting system, strong output fan, and internal circulation system. LED lights use very little electricity and only produce a minimal amount of heat. If you compare LED to HPS light systems, the difference in temperature is huge, as is the amount of electricity used. High heat can destroy your plants if you’re not careful.
Yes. Each Cabinet Garden™ includes a powerful carbon filter that creates minimal sound from the fan and also takes away unwanted odors, leaving no trace of odor from what is growing inside of your cabinet. All of the air is being exhausted through the carbon filter and won't leaking out elsewhere. We also utilize whisper quiet air and water pumps for the hydroponic system.
Some plants take less time than others until they are ready for harvest so this question really depends on what you decide to grow in your Cabinet Garden™. A typical grow cycle is anywhere from 2 – 3 months but could be longer. Some plants thrive in a hydroponic system such as:
  • Vegetables: lettuce, tomatoes, radishes, celery cucumbers
  • Fruits: watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries, grapes
  • Herbs: oregano, basil, sage, rosemary
Cabinet Garden™ products feature a 3 year warranty on the cabinet components. The lighting system is warrantied separately based on the manufacturer warranty. Please see our returns policy for more details. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction, so please do let us know if there is something we can do to help.
With the use of a Wi-Fi connection and smart sensors, you are in complete control. It's easy to maintain a healthy Ecosystem 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all from your desktop computer, smartphone, or tablet. Being connected to your plants, allows continuous monitoring of their environment and automatically adjusts everything for optimized plant growth. The app pairs with your Cabinet Garden™ and displays all the environmental data such as temperature, humidity, nutrient levels, light, and fan on/off controls. You can also add additional technology to automate delivery of nutrients and pH (MotorLeaf Driplet). You can also watch your plants live through the HD camera and share pics socially with all your friends and family. (Camera is included with Large Cabinet Garden™ and an optional add-on with Medium and Small Cabinet Garden™.)
Supersonics is a combination of aeroponics (a plant-cultivation technique in which the roots hang suspended in the air while nutrient solution is delivered to them in the form of a fine mist) and hydroponics (the process of growing plants in sand, gravel, or liquid, with added nutrients but without soil) using both an air and water pump. Growing your plants with both methods of top feed watering and bottom feed oxygenation, helps your plants thrive and grow at rates you truly never thought possible.
Yes, one of the great features of Cabinet Garden™ is the ability to use either dirt or the hydroponic / superponics system. We recommend trying both to see which you prefer. Each method has it’s pros and cons. If you grow with dirt, you’ll need to make sure you water your plants every day or two to keep the soil moist. If you were to go away on vacation, you’d need to have someone water your plants. If you are using the hydroponic system, your plants are being watered 24/7. However, with the hydroponic system, you’ll need to change out the reservoir water every 7 to 14 days, monitor your PH levels, water quality and nutrients.
A net trellis is a heavy-duty nylon net that is ideal for growing vining vegetables, fruits, and flowers. It protects tender vines, foliage, and fruits, while supporting heavy crop loads, thus increasing your overall yield by up to 30%. This is essential when growing plants in a confined space.
The quality of the water used to grow plants can either help your plants thrive or spell disaster for your garden. Maintaining the proper pH level of the water in your reservoir tank is very important to healthy plants. A TDS digital nutrient meter is essential to know exactly how strong your hydroponic solution is, as is the pH testing kit, to know your pH. With Cabinet Garden™, everything you need to get started is included.
In chemistry, pH is a numeric scale used to specify the hydrogen ion acidity or basicity of the water in your Cabinet Garden™. Generally it should be between 5.5 and 7, but the exact number is determined by what you are growing. Adding pH Up or pH Down is required as you grow to keep the balance in the optimal range.
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are the total amount of mobile charged ions, including minerals, salts, or metals dissolved in your water, expressed in units of mg per unit volume of water (mg/L), also referred to as parts per million (ppm). The included TDS digital meter measures the purity of your water for quality. Water purity and balance is extremely important for optimal growth within your Cabinet Garden™.
